When its time to graduate, suddenly everyone seems to have an opinion. Graduation is like a milestone for many of us. lets be realistic, it is one of the turning points and not the only one though. Be ready to face others’ fear joy and anxiety as well as your own feelings.
The feelings cannot be expressed with words even for the most articulate ones. But, an invitation to find a way to come down from it all can be acquired by passively suggesting – it’s graduation time, go ahead and cry.
It’s not their fault either. Some of your loved ones may be cherishing their own dream of graduating by being a part of yours. The ones who are cheering are you also the ones who care about you and they also need it. Yes they care, about your existence, and about what the future holds for you. There is that one defining moment that no one dares to try and articulate. Plus once that is done, you will have to get ready for a new life, new challenge for you. Choosing the right university, the correct course getting ready to go college will be a testing yet, an exhilarating ride.
It’s that moment when everything around you is busy; people are chatty and everyone wants to know if you need anything and if everything is alright. You may choose an easy way out by giving a straight from the TV response to show your conformity. That place where belief and disbelief joins forces; and all the things realized are what you can only know to be true – you really did it and you are graduating.
At the end everyone wants the same stuff. They all want to be assured that everything is going to be alright. All your hard work will be worth it and will show its value soon, but remember the experience is invaluble by itself. Go ahead and cry its graduation time – tears of relief and joy are very practical.
