Aside from what commercials have led us to believe, there is no joy for most of us in cleaning a room. Sure the finished product is always very nice and you feel a sense of accomplishment after cleaning, but the process itself is not enjoyable for the majority of us.
Here are some easy to follow tips to help clean your room and keep it clean.
One easy to way to keep excess dust in check is to get a dust buster. They don’t take up much space and can be purchased for pretty cheap. They are great at sucking up large piles of dust that always seem to form in any room.
If you live in a small space, then you may want to get a Swiffer WetJet as opposed to a mop. They are very portable and can easily be stored in any crevice around the home.
The most important way to keep your room clean is to get into a habit of making your bed in the morning. If your bed is made, it gives the rest of your room the appearance of being clean even if it is not.
If you are like me, then you may instinctively throw clothes on the couch after a long day at the office, or take off your socks and never see them again. Get in the habit of putting dirty clothes in the laundry bin. It will prevent you from having to pick up stray socks from under the bed later on.
Get some Windex – Maybe Windex does not solve all problems, but it certainly cleans windows! If you keep your windows clean, it will allow sunlight to shine through and give your room an extra boost of brightness.
If you own a lot of pairs of shoes, then get a shoe rack. I purchased one recently and it saved me a ton of space. Depending on how many pairs of shoes you have, you can get a shoe rack with several layers.
