Beginning A Photography Blog is Fun

Digital photos are everywhere you look these days! Using digital pictures instead of the traditional film photos is cost-effective, there is no used paper to end up in the garbage and they take up almost no physical space at all! It seems like almost everyone has a digital camera these days that can snap images of just about anything in a matter of moments.

Whether you’re a pro photographer or an amateur photography novice you’ll still like the convenience of digital photography. And what is better than just snapping lots of digital photos is the easy way you can display them to other people. There are many different ways to share your photos, from electronic picture frames to printing them out to storing them on your PDA.

One of the newest ways to display your images to others is with a photo blog. A blog is a website that allows an photographer to post instant updates onto Internet about just about any subject imaginable. A photography “web log” can include the digital photos you took on any given day or trip. You can add your written thoughts about your photos and you can inform people about why you snapped the photos and where you were when you took them.

Most blogging sites are fairly simple to get started with. To start a photography blog you just need to find some free blogging websites and pick a blog name. You simply write your ideas out in a post, insert your digital photographs from your computer and the blogging software pretty much does the rest. When you are happy with a post you “publish” it and everyone around the world can instantly read it!

Remember a blog can be a 2-way communication tool! With a photography blog you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow people to comment on your posts. Getting feedback from views to your web log is part of the fun of posting your photos online. If you allow comments on your images then you can also discover what other people like and don’t like about your photos.

Remember not to worry about always writing a article that’s perfect. It is your photo blog and you can post pictures of whatever you want. You can post images of a trip to Florida one day and then post images of some trees in your back yard the next day. Just try to enjoy the ability to share your electronic photos so quickly with your own blog!
