What’s The Recommended Scrapbooking Glue?

by Darren Bowers on August 20, 2010

One of the things I hate the most is when I get my hands all messed up and gummy when using glue to put things together. This is particularly when scrapbooking is concerned.

Many crafters know that double sided tape rollers are a simple and fast way to adhere paper, cardstock, photos and memorabilia. Crafters simply hold the ergonomically shaped unit and pull it along the surface to be adhered. Since the adhesive is dry there is less mess and the paper won’t buckle like it can with liquid glues. Acid-free variants make these a well-liked alternative for scrapbooking lovers, and the lightweight units are just right for any on-the-go crafting.

If you love adding embellishments without any problems, then I highly recommend this to you. You should be able to easily anything you want – name, doodling flowers, hearts, and then cover it in gleam, shake off the surplus glitter and it looks like a sparkle rub on. It is also very good for flocking. The most exciting part is that there’s actually a device right there in the cap which helps to prevent clogging up. I have used many pen-style kinds of adhesives, but this works far better and gives one the feeling of a real pen.

These tombow glue sticks come in different sizes – depending on how you want to apply them. From tape rollers, to glue pens or sticks. You will be surprised at the great and creative result you will get if you actually try it out next time you want to get creative. This Tombow adhesive also easily works quite well in gluing your designer paper. If your liquid glue has a fine-point applicator tip then gentle pressure will result in an even, thin line that can be placed in narrow areas, along the border of your embellishment, or in small sections where you may want glitters or micro-beads as an accent. You should enjoy this wonderful point and go ahead to use water glue for fastening any pesky ribbon ends; or you can add little beads here and there, as wanted.

Shaped ergonomically. No muddle glue wipes dirt-free with no water. Leaves no excess glue on project to attract dust and grime. Color changes to blue to see the precise lay down of adhesive fades away totally as it goes dry. Strong permanent bond adheres metal, plastic, etc, to paper or cardstock. Easy non-squeeze applicator for precise control won’t stick to hands. Acid-free. And, safe for children. It was basically the precise information I wanted as I was anticipating the purchase of my key crafting tape roller. No doubts, the Tombow is the right one to go for, anytime!
